Hon. John Ingraffia

He attended Mater Dolorosa Elementary and graduated in 1981 from Loranger High School, all the while learning and working on his family’s dairy farm. John married Melissa “Bun” Canal of Hammond in 1988 and together with his wife purchased their own farm in Husser in 1992. This is where they raised their 3 daughters, Lexi, Skylar and Tori and still reside today. 


Having successfully farmed for over 30 years John was asked to serve on the advisory committee for First South Farm Credit Bank. He served 8 years in this position and was then elected onto their board of directors and serves on it still today. He also served on the Dairy Promotion Board which promotes the health and wellness of all dairy products.

Growing up and then raising his own family here makes him very appreciative of his way of life and community and so with this in mind looks forward to serving and representing Tangipahoa Parish and all it encompasses.
